My hennin for the medieval fair in July.
I’m going as Mélusine, who was a Vouivre. (half woman, half dragon/snake.) She is from the 14th century, so the dress is roughly based on the 14th’s fashion AND the descriptions made of Mélusine.
Hennins were first used in France during the 15th century, but I wanted horns, so I mixed both.

Tomorrow I’ll post the entire costume. Dress, hennin, hairdo and mittens.
